James is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with a background in sociology and public mental services. He earned his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from LeTourneau University. James has been working in the mental health field since 2020 and brings experience
from a range of clinical settings including community clinics and private practice.
He specializes in working with youth, young adults, athletes and addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. His approach to therapy is CBT and Solution Focused based and he strives to create a therapeutic environment that is safe, nonjudgmental, collaborative. James’ philosophy is that change must come from within but often needs help to be realized. He wants to be the support to help your positive change.
Outside of therapy, James enjoys volunteering with/at his church in various ministries, including the youth ministry, basketball, anime, video games and spending time with family. James is also a fan of the arts, in particular music (Hip-Hop, Jazz, Classical, etc.) and urban/street dance (Waacking, Popping, Hip-Hop, Locking, Breaking, etc.).
